Location: From the Whisett exit on IH37 travel app. 8 miles southwest on SH 99 to ranch entrance on right. From Three Rivers turn west on Hwy 72 and go app. 15 miles to SH 99. Turn right. Ranch is app. 8 miles on left. Look for large Park-Breidenbach sign on gate.
Description: The ranch is app. 862 acres of prime deer habitat. The eastern boundary is SH 99. The north and east are bounded by high fence. The west is bounded by Possum Creek which is a northern part of Choke Canyon Reservoir. The terrain is rocky and very rolling. Elevation ranges from app. 230 ft. above sea level to app. 320 ft. There is a high view of Possum Creek and Choke Canyon from the ranch. Numerous senderos cross the ranch. The brush is medium to thick and typical South Texas varieties. A number of roads provide access to most areas of the ranch. The property can be currently entered at three different gates along Hwy. 99. When the lake is full, water Possum Creek enters some of the draws on the western boundary of the ranch. Choke Canyon is known for its incredible white tailed deer, excellent fishing and even duck hunting. Game on the ranch should include white-tailed deer, feral hog, javelina, bobcat, possible mountain lion.
A large number of birds live in or migrate through this area due to the abundant water of the lake.
